• CID advocates for local and state policies that benefit the commercial real estate. In 2019 these efforts prevented the Livingston Parish Metro Council from passing an ordinance, which would require REALTORS® to disclose issues about the property they did not know gotten from the owner. REALTORS® would have been subject to $500 fine or ten days in jail if it had passed. Also assisted in the passage of ordinance amendment makes it easier and less expensive for owners to lease residential and commercial properties. Amendment changed the process of getting sewer inspections done when changing lessees. In Ascension Parish, we worked with homebuilders and developers to keep onerous UDC amendments to a minimum. Also worked with homebuilders to keep increases in traffic impact fees at a minimum
