GP Carers Registration Survey 2021

Welcome to the GP Carer Registration Survey 2021.This year we have created two parts to the survey which help us meet our obligations arising from the NHS Long Term Plan and our local Surrey primary care carer KPI quality standard. The first part of the survey is our usual annual bench marking exercise of how many carers are registered with each practice. The second part which is optional, links to the NHS England GP Carer Quality Markers Portal. The Care Quality Commission will be inspecting practices and using these markers to measure how practices are supporting carers. You may use the NHS GP Carer Quality Marker Portal (guidance to access the portal can be found at the end of this survey) to record evidence for your CQC inspection. Once you have submitted your Quality Marker evidence a declaration will be generated and emailed back to you. You may undate your Quality Marker evidence at any time.

The survey will operate between 7th January 2021 until the 31st March 2021. The results will be published in the annual Surrey GP Carers Registraion Report which we hope to share with you in May 2021. If you have any questions please contact Ron Critcher   email: ron.critcher@surreycc.gov.uk or debbie.hustings@nhs.net

Thank you for taking the time to complete the survey and supporting carers.

NHS GP Carer Quality Markers

NHS England has developed some questions that can be used by general practices to demonstrate how effective they are in recognising and supporting carers. These questions are known as “quality markers” and have been taken from what carers and their representatives have told NHS England over the past four years

To help manage the workload on general practices, the quality markers have been designed so that they will also provide evidence for other organisations, including the Care Quality Commission (CQC), that are responsible for making sure general practices provide safe and high-quality care. The CQC supports the use of these quality markers to help general practices support carers.

Once you submit this form an email will be sent to the email address you provided in this form with a link to the NHS GP Carer Quality Markers. You may then log in to the portal as and when you wish too.
