CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION
DUAL CREDIT/ENROLLMENT/EARLY ADMISSION APPLICATION AND RECOMMENDATION

A student who is currently attending high school may register to take courses under Meridian Community College’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) Dual Credit/Enrollment program provided he/she:
  • is classified as a high school sophomore, junior, or senior as documented by an official high school transcript,
  • received an unconditional written recommendation from their high school principal and/or counselor as documented by this form, with at least one parent/legal guardian’s approval, as documented by this form, and
  • received acceptance into a CTE course or program from a high school administrator, counselor or CTE instructor as documented by this form.
NOTE: Students should be aware that they must maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher in dual credit classes to be eligible for financial aid at MCC. If the course is to be counted for secondary credit, a B average must be maintained during the first two (2) courses and all thereafter.
 
CTE Dual Credit/Enrollment applicants must submit an application for admission, an official high school transcript, submit ACT or Accuplacer scores, and this completed form. Students must meet academic and pre-requisite course or program requirements (i.e. minimum score on standardized tests, etc) for placement in a specific course(s).
