Foreign Military Sales (“FMS”) 101 – a Primer for US Exporters
Thursday, June 20th 2019 | 1:00 PM - 1:50 PM
USA Partnership The LAUNCHPAD, Booth #3-B79 Hall 3
A Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) official will present an inside look at the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) process, the primary means by which the U.S. Government sells defense articles, services, and training to foreign partners. FMS is about more than just the sale – it enhances military-to-military cooperation and interoperability and creates the lasting relationships necessary to respond to shared security challenges. Information will include an overview of DSCA’s “total package approach” to ensure U.S. partners can operate, employ, and maximize investments, and a discussion focusing on the differences between FMS and Direct Commercial Sales. U.S. industry partners are encouraged to attend to learn more about the U.S. Government resources available to help promote, market, and advocate for U.S. products.
