The Roles of the Private and Public Sectors in Achieving the Next Generation of Space Flight

Tuesday, June 18th 2019 | 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM
USA Partnership The LAUNCHPAD, Booth #3-B79 Hall 3

America’s activities in space have always been a public-private-partnership as NASA, from its earliest days, engaged private contractors in the design and implementation of its missions. This model has evolved over five decades, especially as capabilities and funding has shifted back and forth between partners. This session will involve government officials who plan, promote and regulate space-related activities speaking alongside venture capitalists and private-sector space entrepreneurs as we discuss the “trillion-dollar space economy”.

Tory Bruno, CEO United Launch Alliance

Robert Lightfoot, Lockheed Martin, Former Acting Administrator of NASA

Jeff Matthews, Space Specialist Leader, Deloitte

Dr. Will Roper, Assistant Secretary of the US Air Force for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics
