2024-2025 Young Professionals Advisory Committee Application

The Cleveland Council on World Affairs’ Carter E. Strang Young Professionals Advisory Committee (YPAC) is a body of young professionals who support the work of CCWA in its efforts to engage young professionals and students in our programming. YPAC members do this by providing program feedback and insight to the board and staff of CCWA, leading coordination of young professional events, and serving as community ambassadors for CCWA and its programs. Eligibility: To maintain active membership in YPAC, applicants must be able to meet the following requirements. Please check all boxes that apply. *

I am a resident, aged 21-35, of the Greater Cleveland area.

I am, or am willing to become, a member of CCWA ($50 per year)

I will attend 3 YPAC meetings per year.

I am able to commit to a 2-year term (with the understanding that members are able to resign their term if and when circumstances dictate).

I will dedicate myself to CCWA’s mission to inspire engagement in world affairs, and exhibit a passion for advancing the vision.

I will engage enthusiastically in the work of the committee between meetings, as needed.

Why do you believe it is important that the Cleveland area population be globally minded? How do you engage internationally and how do you share that interest within the community?
