The Richard W. Pogue Fellowship will cultivate the next generation of globally minded leaders in Cleveland. Our 2024-2025 fellows will have the opportunity to participate in exclusive members-only speaker forums and other programs about the most pressing international topics of our time, and network with other internationally minded business and civic leaders in our community through participation in the Cleveland Committee on Foreign Relations (CCFR).
What is the Richard W. Pogue Fellowship
The fellowship consists of a complimentary membership in CCFR. CCFR is a members-only speaker forum that meets eight times a year with timely presentations from experts on foreign policy and geopolitical issues. These intimate dinner events allow for unprecedented access to experts and candid discussions about the events and people creating global news every day. CCFR’s membership consists of business, academic and civic leaders from Northeast Ohio. CCFR programs include a reception, the speaker’s off-the-record presentation, and dinner with thought-provoking conversation with other members.
In addition, fellows will enjoy unlimited access to CCWA’s Foreign Policy Forum programs, enjoy a welcome reception, and participate in a leadership meeting about diplomacy with CCWA’s President and Ambassador-in-Residence.
The fellowship is named after Richard W. Pogue, civic leader and Senior Advisor at Jones Day, in recognition of his more than 60 years as a member of CCWA. As a young lawyer, his attendance at the Cleveland Committee in Foreign Relations sparked a lifelong interest in international business and foreign affairs, and a commitment to promoting global engagement in Cleveland. In this spirit, the Richard W. Pogue Fellowship will cultivate the next generation of globally minded leaders in Cleveland.
