Operating Guidelines:
The amount to be donated will be the full amount raised by the benefit show.
The number of recipients will be determined by the amount raised by the benefit show. If proceeds for the
show are in an amount up to $10,000.00 then there will be one (1) recipient. If the proceeds of the show
are an amount in excess of $10,0000.00, then the amount will be divided evenly and there will be two (2)
recipients.
The donations will be determined by a majority vote at a scheduled Board meeting in which there is a
quorum, after a review of all the Applications submitted.
To complete this application, you will need:
- 4 letters of recommendation
1 from the organizations main veterinarian
2 from current customers
1 from a former customer
- 501(c)3 certificate
- 5-10 minute video tour of facility
- additionial photos for consideration
Donation Eligibility Requirements:
Non-profit funds, foundations, or organizations that have established their tax exempt status under Section
5Ol(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Non-profit funds, foundations, or organizations engaged in using horses for therapeutic riding for
mentally or physically challenged persons.
Non-profit funds, foundations, or organizations that operate on behalf of residents in the North Texas area,
which is defined to be within the radius of one hundred twenty (120) miles from DFW Airport. [note: radius
is pulled from our 'mileage' rule, 3.1.4 for purposes of consistency].
Non-profit funds, foundations, or organizations that have been operational for a minimum of three (3)
years.
Non-profit funds, foundations, or organizations that fully complete the application in it’s entirety and submit
it to the NTHJC Board by required deadline date.
Non-profit funds, foundations, or organizations that have received a donation from NTHJC will be ineligible
to receive a donation from the NTHJC the following consecutive year. Ex. Non-profit funds, foundations,
or organizations that received a donation from the NTHJC in 2014 will not be eligible in 2015, but will be
eligible in 2016.
At the discretion of the NTHJC, a physical tour/inspection of the program and facility may be requested.
