Wayfinders Peer Mentor Application

Wayfinders at Fresno State is seeking Fresno State students to serve as Peer Mentors to our current students. Wayfinders is a post-secondary program for students with an intellectual disability. In the role of a peer mentor, you will be matched to a Wayfinders student with similar interests and will support them integrating onto campus and into the community through a mixture of social activities, general one on one get-togethers and events. Peer mentors will be paired with a student or group of students, where they can engage socially and build social connections to the campus community. 

A Wayfinders peer mentor should be:
A currently registered Fresno State Student
Motivated and reliable
Excited to meet new people 
Provide friendly and patient peer support 
Available to meet with partnered student at least 30 minutes per week
Open to attending activities (movie nights, games, etc.) with partnered student 
Able to attend an info session (details to follow)
