Voices In Praise is a faith-based community youth choir, open to all students in Grades 6-12 without audition. Please read more about VIP online. The VIP Handbook, which has more info about our organization and policies, will be emailed to registered singers prior to the first rehearsal. Voices In Praise is directed by Holly Reynolds Lee and accompanied by Briana Gresko. VIP Singers register for the full year with a materials fee of $100.

Voices In Praise Children's Choir is a faith-based community children's choir, open to all students in Grades 4-5 without audition. Children's Choir sings in worship once in the fall and once in the spring. They perform 3 - 5 concerts per year, alongside VIP. Voices In Praise Children's Choir is directed by Paul Balsley. Singers can register for the full year ($100) or Fall/Christmas only ($50). Winter/spring registration will be offered in January.

Fees & Payment

VIP works to keep our fees as low as possible. We believe that every child should have access to the music and ministry of Voices In Praise. We charge a yearly materials fee that helps with the cost of music and supplies. We ask singers to turn in their music so that VIP can use it again.

VIP is a uniformed choir.

1. Casual uniforms (Grades 6 - 12) - Performance T (black w/ white/mint logo) = $25

2. Formal uniforms (Grades 6 - 12)

We ask girls to pay a refundable deposit of $75 at the time their uniform is issued. This amount is refunded when the singer leaves the choir and returns her uniform. Girls should wear black dress shoes.

We ask guys to purchase their own long-sleeve, black dress shirt with black buttons. We have them available for $25 if you need to purchase one. Guys should supply their own black belt, pants, socks, and shoes.

3. Children's Choir Uniforms

We ask girls to purchase their own black uniform dress from Amazon. (Here is the dress.) Girls should wear black tight and dress shoes.

If the existing fees are a challenge for your family, please let us know. We do not want any child to miss VIP for financial reasons.

For Grades 6 - 12 Only:

♪ We serve a monthly dinner to singers. We ask each VIP family to pitch in and help by preparing food for two dinners per year.

♪ We ask all VIPs and parents to volunteer behind-the-scenes. Singers should volunteer 6 hours; one parent per VIP Family should volunteer 3 hours. Tasks include chaperoning events, driving singers, helping at events, administrative assistance, etc. Parents who choose not to participate may "buy out" of their commitment at a donation of $25/hour.

I need financial assistance. VIP has scholarships available for students who have a financial need.

VIP works concessions at Baysox Games to raise funds for singer activities. We place $75 per worker, per game into the designated VIP account -- a great way to earn funds to help with VIP fees. Workers should be 12+. Workers who are 12 and 13 should be accompanied by a parent.

Permission & General Waiver

I give permission for my child, to participate fully as a member of Voices In Praise, Voices In Praise Childen's Choir and other ensembles run by Voices In Praise Inc.

If I have a 6th - 12th grader, I will read the Choir Handbook, which outlines the guidelines, expectations, and policies of the choir.

I understand that monies paid for VIP activities, including Choir Tour, are nonrefundable.

I will review the Safe Sanctuary Policy I give permission for my child to be alone with a Voices In Praise Staff Member, Board Member, or Volunteer when necessary.

I give permission for photos and videos that include my child to be used online and in print materials in support of Voices In Praise, Voices In Praise Children's Choir, and other VIP-related activities.

While great care will be taken to ensure my child’s health and safety during all Voices In Praise rehearsals, performances, and other activities, I understand that my child’s participation may result in an unexpected illness, injury, dismemberment, or death due to accidents, forces of nature, or other unforeseeable events. I realize that there are certain risks arising from this activity, and I am willing to assume such risks.

The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that my child(ren) and I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by attending VIP rehearsals or activities.

By signing this document, I certify that I have legal custody of the child listed on this form. I also certify my child is in good physical and mental health at this time.

I, on behalf of myself, my personal representatives, heirs, assigns, and/or designees, hereby agree to hold harmless and fully and forever release and discharge Voices In Praise, Inc., and all trustees, officers, agents and volunteers, employees and/or staff of Voices In Praise, Inc. from any and all claims, demands, rights of action, present or future, whether the same be known, anticipated or unanticipated, resulting from, or arising out of, or incident to, the providing of this medical assistance.

This release shall be in effect during the time that the above-named minor is participating in Voices In Praise rehearsals, performances, and other activities.
