Completing this form will register your school as a participant in the 2017-2018 Washington State Poetry Out Loud program, which is managed by the Washington State Arts Commission (ArtsWA) in collaboration with regional partners around the state.
Poetry Out Loud is open to any school in Washington State serving students in grades 9-12. Each participating school should have a minimum of 2-4 participating teachers, who are each involving 2 or more of their classes in the Poetry Out Loud program. Exceptions for smaller and schools new to the program may be made on a case by case basis. If you have any questions regarding your school’s participation, please inquire to poetry.out.loud@arts.wa.gov
One teacher at each participating school will serve as the Lead Teacher, acting as the school's primary program contact and program organizer. This person should complete the registration form, and should list him/herself as well as the other participating teachers in the form below.
After this form is submitted, a registration confirmation will be emailed to both the Lead Teacher and the school principal. These are not automatically generated emails; please allow 1-2 business days for a response from Poetry Out Loud staff. The Poetry Out Loud program coordinator for your region will be in touch with you to make sure you receive your program materials.
