Comprehensive Screening

What is Apnea?  Simply put, Apnea is when you stop breathing or have shallow breathing while you sleep. Most people do not even realize this is happening to them.

Is it dangerous? Apnea increases your chances of heart disease, depression, diabetes, obesity and cancer. Just to give you a few of the problems that apnea creates, we suggest you look at the www.Sleepfoundation.org and www.CDC.gov/sleep for additional research on the dangers of Apnea.

Do I have Sleep Apnea? Common signs of sleep apnea may include, but are not limited to, loud snoring, headaches, sore or dry throat after waking up, using the bathroom multiple times through the night, feeling restless throughout the day and even depression or high levels of irritability. Have any of your family members noticed severe snoring, choking, gasping for breath, snorting, or any other kind of suffocating noise during your sleep?

Testing for Apnea Complete the following questionnaires, and if the results indicate you’re at risk you should consider a sleep study. We offer the ApneaLink™Plus sleep study which is done in the comfort of your home, hospital or hotel. It is important to determine how severe your problem is and what damage it may be doing.
