Questionnaire

Professional Development: a comparative study of the methods and purpose of professional development activities undertaken by non-academic staff in tertiary institutions in New Zealand, Australia and Canada.

The purpose of this questonnaire is to draw on the experiences of managers to gain an understanding of how and why professional development activities are allocated and the expectations of outcomes of that development. The questions refer to staff that you meet with and directly manage their professional development activities.

This questionnaire is anonymous (researcher views an automated reference number only) UNLESS you authorise the researcher to contact you for further communication and/or an interview by choosing 'YES' and providing your email addresss WITHIN THE FINAL SECTION OF THIS QUESTIONNAIRE.

You will first be asked to provide some personal information about yourself and your time as a manager. This specific information is for statistical purposes to allow the researcher to estimate the demographic balance of respondents. The questionnaire then continues and you are asked a series of questions. Please allow approximately 35 minutes to complete the questionnaire.
